Data Protection

The Trans Service Team GmbH (hereinafter “TST”) is delighted that you have decided to visit our site and thanks you for your interest in our company and our products and services.

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and would like you to feel secure and at ease when visiting our website. For us, the protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important task that we take into consideration in all our business processes. We process personal data acquired when you visit our websites in accordance with the data protection regulations laid down in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). In addition, our data protection policy complies with the code of conduct for data protection adopted by TST. TST websites can contain links to websites of other suppliers, to which this declaration on data protection does not apply.

What is personal data

Personal data describes individual pieces of personal or factual information about a specific or specifiable natural person. This includes information such as your true name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth. Information that cannot directly be connected with your true identity – such as favourite websites or the number of users on a site – is not personal data.

Collecting and processing personal data

When you visit our websites, for reasons of system security our web servers temporarily save the connection data of the computer that requested the data, the pages you visit on our website, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system used and the website from which you visit our site as standard. Additional personal data such as your name, your address, telephone number, or e-mail address is not collected, unless you provide this data voluntarily, for example within the scope of a registration, a survey, a competition, the completion of a contract or an information request.

Use and transfer of personal data

The personal data provided by you will be used by us exclusively for technical administration purposes of our website and to fulfil your wishes and demands, therefore generally for the handling of the contract concluded with yourself or in response to your enquiry.

Only when you have given us your permission in advance or where – insofar as this is envisaged by the legal regulations – you have not raised an objection will we use this data for product-related surveys and marketing purposes.

Your personal data will not be passed on, sold or otherwise transferred to any third party, unless required for the application of any agreement, or if you have given your express consent for us to do so. It might therefore be necessary, for example, to pass on this data in order to respond to your enquiries.

The transmission of personal data to state institutions and authorities only takes place within the scope of national statutory provisions. Our employees, agencies and dealers are obliged to treat all data as strictly confidential.

Cookies

TST uses cookies to track users’ preferences and thus in order to be able to optimise websites accordingly. Cookies are small files that are stored on your hard disk. This makes navigation easier and ensures that the website is highly user-friendly. Cookies also assist us in identifying particularly popular areas of our website. This means we can specifically tailor our website to your needs and in doing so improve content for you. Cookies can be used to establish whether communication has already taken place between your computer and our website. Only the cookie on your computer is identified. Personal data can only be stored in cookies if you have given your consent, such as to prevent you having to enter your user ID and password repeatedly when visiting protected areas online.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can prevent cookies being saved on your hard disk by selecting “do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. Please refer to the instructions of your browser manufacturer for details on how to do this. You can delete cookies already saved on your computer at any time. However, if you do not accept cookies, this can lead to functional limitations of our website.

Security

TST uses technical and organisational security measures to ensure that your personal data stored and managed by us is protected against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological progress.

Should you wish to contact TST via e-mail, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the transmitted information cannot be guaranteed. The contents of e-mails may be viewed by third parties. We therefore recommend that confidential information is only provided to us by post.
